I'm not the developer, but I have played and experimented with this game a lot. She doesn't vanish and reappear out of thin air. If it feels like it, then it is because she was there to begin with. She is SUPER fast when she is near you and wants to go right behind you. Those 2 seconds you looked away from her? She doesn't waste that opportunity. I have done a lot of experiments on that lol. If you want to prevent her from appearing right behind you, keep an eye out for her at all times.

Actually, the medicine she gives you isn't always poison. It can be 1 of 3 things: poison (like you said), sleeping drugs, and medicine that heals you 25 HP (on hard difficulty, can't rememer if it's more on easy/normal). The poison can obviously kill you, but the other 2 can't. Falling asleep with the sleeping drugs takes you to spawn room (which has been locked) where she is sleeping and you leave by finding the key. She looks cute asleep in my opinion so I recommend trying to get the sleeping drugs just once lol. She wakes up and starts chasing you when you unlock the door with the key. I think I saw someone say the medicine she gives you has a 50% chance of being good, and 50% chance of it being bad, but I don't remember where that was. Maybe it was on discord? Can't remember, but the chance of it being bad isn't ridiculously high judging from my own experience with the game. I forgot to mention this in my previous reply, but don't run after stepping on glass. Wait or walk for a few seconds after stepping away from the glass. Running makes you take A LOT more damage than if you simply walked. It's actually possible to lose as little as 5 HP or so (IIRC) on highest difficulty if you just take it easy instead of rush. Contrary to what seems like popular belief, she is rarely so close to you that you can't afford to walk for a few seconds after stepping on glass rather than run. Running after stepping on it just because you are in the middle of a chase is a super common mistake from what I have seen, and a mistake that I want to end as it can really make one lose the gameplay lol.
I haven't done much with my profile so I hope it didn't bore you lol.
Lire is a pretty good indie horror game but it could use some refinement, though I suppose that is to be expected of a demo. I think you should give it a try. I won't spoil it, but the monster in the final puzzle area gave me major goosebumps I haven't felt since playing the horror game "DreadOut" years ago lol.

Amazing work on this update! I never managed to beat the first release but I was actually able to get both endings here! I love the new cutscene and gameplay, much smoother than before! Also holy crap the jumpscares! Great work!
Hello, I have a doubt .. the character we control is a man or a woman lol I ask it since in the Spanish translation when we die it says (you are dead in feminine) and if you could I would like to know who is the boy whose head at the beginning of the game, it is that it has me intrigued .. greetings
Personally speaking, I have always considered the character you control to be a man due to the clothes and physique, so I think it's a mistake on the Spanish translation team's part, but I suppose it could be a girl who just looks a lot like a guy lol.
You might want to ask those questions on their discord instead of here as answers come faster there from what I have seen.
you should add a feature where if you have done a specific thing then you can take Saiko's knife and she will have to chase you with her fists but she will be slower and you can fight back

Don't the items glow most of the time? They don't glow in mini-games (where she locks you in a room and chases you after a few seconds) though IIRC, so I agree with you on that.
About Saiko chan's body, I worry if they become any bigger, they are just going to get "unnatural looking and bloated" like is the case with many anime characters, especially in hentai (wait, it was research, research!). I prefer this size as they are big without feeling unnatural.
But I do think it would be nice to customize Saiko chan as that could add some replayability to the game. Or add other clothes for her, like a different school uniform or swimsuit or something, after escaping from her once to encourage replaying the game.
I think the mac version is really buggy... or the game is impossible. I can get to 3 of the keys, plus the infirmary one but at that point the screen looks glitchy and then then Saiko is suddenly there. Like, I haven't seen her at all while I'm creeping and then suddenly she is after me, can't loose me, any room I go into she's right behind me peeking in. It feels like it gets worse the less health I have too. At only 5 health I got away, ducked into a class room, turned around to check the door and she's behind me stabbing me. It feels like she's teleporting which I really think she shouldn't be able to do.
yea I feel the same way. I really feel like she teleports and she's like always there with me so I can't do anything. It's also very glitchy sometimes.

Quick Thoughts: I've been grinding out 2.0 trying to beat it but apparently it was impossible (Hearing that only made me want to beat it more. spoiler alert I didn't. Was it impossible, I don't know, but what I do know is when I saw there was a bug fix I went right back at it.
Version Thoughts: Honestly the only thing that really catches my attention (atm) is the AI. So the first thing that I think of is has/how her behavior has changed. Adding a Yandere and Yangire state to her. One less aggressive then the latter. Only speaking for the normal mode at least. I didn't "see" much change. Yea I've read the logs and she did a couple different things here and there. but the basic concept of trying your best to avoid her will yield the same experience as the last version just minus the door looping.
I like what I read about the changes and I hope to see more of the Yandere to Yangire differences how ever sight, drastic, or anywhere in between they may be.
Would be cool to see: Like maybe make it like Yandere could be your life line just you have to keep in mind that she could change at any moment. So one minute she is like you own personal nurse or scavenger or helper like sidekick and then the next you're in a chase for your life.
I really like what the dev is doing with this game and I will continue to follow it and see what is done with it.
I REALLY like this concept. I hope you are able to continue your game to add more things. what about a safe room with a npc there who sells you shoes? idk. I couldn't manage to get the goo ending but that's just me.
I love everything about this game except how hard it is to lose saiko. I agree with other comments, once she sees you it's pretty much game over. The stealth mechanics should be made more forgiving, hiding behind desks should be an option and her speed should be reduced some so you can lose her. Other than that, just general stuff like ironing out bugs. 4 out of 5.

Hello! i love the game so far, i love the character, i just have one thing that bothers me which is the color of the atmosphere, i just feel like it strains your eyes even playing in light or dark. Is there a chance you guys can possibly lighten it up or change it differently? Other than that, i really love the game. Keep it up <3
Excellent game, but with some cons that weren't there in 1.9 :
Let me start with the pros :
1) The new map layout. It ressembles much more an actual school and I find it easier to remember what is where. Besides, I like the new dynamic of the Infirmary (and its key in the blood-filled sink =P) with the anti-ailment pills and the medpack that always spawns there. There's a lot of new details also. Good job on map redesign. Seriously.
2) The double personality of Saiko. It was there in 1.9, but only really was seen in the intro, otherwise she just wanted to kill you (except in Practice mode). Now, she can plod alongside you and even give you health back ! Thanks, babe. Besides, the mini-game where she locks you into a room isn't as deadly when she's in "friendly" mode : just find the key and meet her outside. She also sometimes feign attacks or stop attacking you, say "sorry", heals you (25 hp) and then plod along like a deranged girlfriend =D
3) The two possible endings. (Spoilers) It only comes down to if Saiko catches you with the Exit key, or not. It's a nice touch.
4) The sleeping mini-game. Once in while when she's with you in friendly mode, she will feed you sleeping pills, apparently. You'll still have some time to do some stuff before passing out, tho. When you wake up, you find yourself attached to the starting chair, with Saiko asleep on the principal's desk. Take the key near her and get ready to bolt for it, cause unlocking the door will anger her.
But now, the cons :
1) Saiko is unshakable. Once she spots you (and trust me, it WILL happen) you can basically restart the game, because she WON'T let you go and you can't juke/lose her, even when sprinting, nor hide. In 1.9, you used to be able to get her off your track if you crouch-hid behind the desks in the classrooms ; that's no longer the case as she will always spots you. Even with lights turned off. That in conjuction with wider and longer hallways makes it even harder to break line-of-sight. I don't mind her staying with me when she's friendly, but when she's in chase mode, that's just unbearable as you'll have to keep sprinting forever until you get lucky enough for her to randomly snap back to friendly (when she stops, hold her head in her hand and says "sorry"). The only room as of now that seems to be semi-consistant for juking her is the library as the bookcases seems imposing enough to reliably break LoS (hurray for literature !), but even there it doesn't always work. And the lockers are useless, even if she didn't see/hear you entering them as she will camp around the one you're in anyway, as if she knew you're in there... The only two times I was able to complete the game was due to her bugging and getting stuck =P . In all seriousness, please reduce her scouting capacities a bit...
2) The randomness of the shoes. Walking on glass shards now is much more punishing now as if you sprint afterward, you'll lose blood (and hp) fast ! That combined to not always have the time to unlock the infirmary is way too crippling (pun intended) due to how often Saiko will chase you (which requires you to sprint to stay alive). When the shoes appear in the hallways, it's ok, but there's been lots of attempts where I didn't even see a pixel of those green goodies. And the problem is that sometimes, you won't have a choice but to walk over glass shards (when she spots you in any room). In 1.9, you could avoid damage by crouch-walking over the shards (even without shoes), but that doesn't work anymore (t'was probably a bug, so fair enough =P) This pedestrian problem could be fixed by making the shoes only able to spawn only in hallways, or near the entrance lockers, where it would make sense =P hell even under the stairs, why not ? It would still have five to eight possible different random spawns (the four hallways, the entrance, the central stairs, the side stairs) but at least, it'd give you fair running capabilities against Saiko.
3) The breakers mini-game. While I wouldn't be against it if it was possible to shake off Saiko reliably, it's way too time-consuming in the current state of the game. The new breakers room is also much more of a death trap that what it was in 1.9. Walking in there is death sentence. Particularly, if she turn it off during your wandering.
4) The lack of difference between EASY and NORMAL difficulty. Nothing more to say. I didn't notice a difference between the two difficulties. Same problems happened ; Saiko has a freaking military-grade sonar is both difficulties =P
Conclusion : It's a great game full of interesting mechanics, but currently the difficulty/unfairness of it is worse than Dark Souls...
Of course, I'm not forcing the devs to apply the changes I proposed here. I'm just enouncing what I think would make for a fair (but still challenging) game.

2.0.1 fixes lots of cons you mentioned , and now easy is normal and normal is hard the shoes can spawn near the exit gate racks or the starting brown racks on every hall. actually now the difference is that normal now formally hard is where saiko can shutoff power and also steal key . while in easy now formally normal she wont do those also the damage is half compared to hard mode.
Trust me, I really love this game ; it's even the only horror game that actually managed to genuinely scare me in a while !
It's just that it had some problems that made it feel a bit unfair at times. Thanks a lot for fixing those problems.
Also, I didn't know Saiko don't steal keys and turned off power in Easy (probably because she didn't do it that much to me in Normal either) but I guess I did notice I got a little less hurt from her attack in Easy.

There is an issue with Turkish translation. It should say "Türkçe" in language selection not "Türkiye".

I've enjoyed Saiko no sutoka alpha 2.0.1 and it's fantastic!
But, i should report a bug that is accidently found when i was trying to beat hard mode without any damages.
I closed the door of the library at 08:50 ~ 08:55 to earn some time to escape from Saiko-chan.
When i visited the main hall of 2nd floor again at 14:50, i've noticed that she was stuck in the door.

But I do think it would be nice to customize Saiko chan as that could add some replayability to the game. Or add other clothes for her, like a different school uniform or swimsuit or something, after escaping from her once to encourage replaying the game.

I think the mac version is really buggy... or the game is impossible. I can get to 3 of the keys, plus the infirmary one but at that point the screen looks glitchy and then then Saiko is suddenly there. Like, I haven't seen her at all while I'm creeping and then suddenly she is after me, can't loose me, any room I go into she's right behind me peeking in. It feels like it gets worse the less health I have too. At only 5 health I got away, ducked into a class room, turned around to check the door and she's behind me stabbing me. It feels like she's teleporting which I really think she shouldn't be able to do.
yea I feel the same way. I really feel like she teleports and she's like always there with me so I can't do anything. It's also very glitchy sometimes.
Amazing new update! better visuals, and less bugs. I noticed she breaks the glass now and if you step on it your health diminishes. Very cool! Cheers!

Its a nice little game! However, I found her at times to be really easy to loose and other times nearly impossible to avoid her.

Quick Thoughts:
I've been grinding out 2.0 trying to beat it but apparently it was impossible (Hearing that only made me want to beat it more. spoiler alert I didn't. Was it impossible, I don't know, but what I do know is when I saw there was a bug fix I went right back at it.
Version Thoughts:
Honestly the only thing that really catches my attention (atm) is the AI. So the first thing that I think of is has/how her behavior has changed. Adding a Yandere and Yangire state to her. One less aggressive then the latter. Only speaking for the normal mode at least. I didn't "see" much change. Yea I've read the logs and she did a couple different things here and there. but the basic concept of trying your best to avoid her will yield the same experience as the last version just minus the door looping.
I like what I read about the changes and I hope to see more of the Yandere to Yangire differences how ever sight, drastic, or anywhere in between they may be.
Would be cool to see:
Like maybe make it like Yandere could be your life line just you have to keep in mind that she could change at any moment. So one minute she is like you own personal nurse or scavenger or helper like sidekick and then the next you're in a chase for your life.
I really like what the dev is doing with this game and I will continue to follow it and see what is done with it.

I love everything about this game except how hard it is to lose saiko. I agree with other comments, once she sees you it's pretty much game over. The stealth mechanics should be made more forgiving, hiding behind desks should be an option and her speed should be reduced some so you can lose her. Other than that, just general stuff like ironing out bugs. 4 out of 5.

Hello! i love the game so far, i love the character, i just have one thing that bothers me which is the color of the atmosphere, i just feel like it strains your eyes even playing in light or dark. Is there a chance you guys can possibly lighten it up or change it differently? Other than that, i really love the game. Keep it up <3
Excellent game, but with some cons that weren't there in 1.9 :
Let me start with the pros :
1) The new map layout. It ressembles much more an actual school and I find it easier to remember what is where. Besides, I like the new dynamic of the Infirmary (and its key in the blood-filled sink =P) with the anti-ailment pills and the medpack that always spawns there. There's a lot of new details also. Good job on map redesign. Seriously.
2) The double personality of Saiko. It was there in 1.9, but only really was seen in the intro, otherwise she just wanted to kill you (except in Practice mode). Now, she can plod alongside you and even give you health back ! Thanks, babe. Besides, the mini-game where she locks you into a room isn't as deadly when she's in "friendly" mode : just find the key and meet her outside. She also sometimes feign attacks or stop attacking you, say "sorry", heals you (25 hp) and then plod along like a deranged girlfriend =D
3) The two possible endings. (Spoilers) It only comes down to if Saiko catches you with the Exit key, or not. It's a nice touch.
4) The sleeping mini-game. Once in while when she's with you in friendly mode, she will feed you sleeping pills, apparently. You'll still have some time to do some stuff before passing out, tho. When you wake up, you find yourself attached to the starting chair, with Saiko asleep on the principal's desk. Take the key near her and get ready to bolt for it, cause unlocking the door will anger her.
But now, the cons :
1) Saiko is unshakable. Once she spots you (and trust me, it WILL happen) you can basically restart the game, because she WON'T let you go and you can't juke/lose her, even when sprinting, nor hide. In 1.9, you used to be able to get her off your track if you crouch-hid behind the desks in the classrooms ; that's no longer the case as she will always spots you. Even with lights turned off. That in conjuction with wider and longer hallways makes it even harder to break line-of-sight. I don't mind her staying with me when she's friendly, but when she's in chase mode, that's just unbearable as you'll have to keep sprinting forever until you get lucky enough for her to randomly snap back to friendly (when she stops, hold her head in her hand and says "sorry"). The only room as of now that seems to be semi-consistant for juking her is the library as the bookcases seems imposing enough to reliably break LoS (hurray for literature !), but even there it doesn't always work. And the lockers are useless, even if she didn't see/hear you entering them as she will camp around the one you're in anyway, as if she knew you're in there... The only two times I was able to complete the game was due to her bugging and getting stuck =P . In all seriousness, please reduce her scouting capacities a bit...
2) The randomness of the shoes. Walking on glass shards now is much more punishing now as if you sprint afterward, you'll lose blood (and hp) fast ! That combined to not always have the time to unlock the infirmary is way too crippling (pun intended) due to how often Saiko will chase you (which requires you to sprint to stay alive). When the shoes appear in the hallways, it's ok, but there's been lots of attempts where I didn't even see a pixel of those green goodies. And the problem is that sometimes, you won't have a choice but to walk over glass shards (when she spots you in any room). In 1.9, you could avoid damage by crouch-walking over the shards (even without shoes), but that doesn't work anymore (t'was probably a bug, so fair enough =P) This pedestrian problem could be fixed by making the shoes only able to spawn only in hallways, or near the entrance lockers, where it would make sense =P hell even under the stairs, why not ? It would still have five to eight possible different random spawns (the four hallways, the entrance, the central stairs, the side stairs) but at least, it'd give you fair running capabilities against Saiko.
3) The breakers mini-game. While I wouldn't be against it if it was possible to shake off Saiko reliably, it's way too time-consuming in the current state of the game. The new breakers room is also much more of a death trap that what it was in 1.9. Walking in there is death sentence. Particularly, if she turn it off during your wandering.
4) The lack of difference between EASY and NORMAL difficulty. Nothing more to say. I didn't notice a difference between the two difficulties. Same problems happened ; Saiko has a freaking military-grade sonar is both difficulties =P
Conclusion : It's a great game full of interesting mechanics, but currently the difficulty/unfairness of it is worse than Dark Souls...
Of course, I'm not forcing the devs to apply the changes I proposed here. I'm just enouncing what I think would make for a fair (but still challenging) game.

2.0.1 fixes lots of cons you mentioned , and now easy is normal and normal is hard the shoes can spawn near the exit gate racks or the starting brown racks on every hall. actually now the difference is that normal now formally hard is where saiko can shutoff power and also steal key . while in easy now formally normal she wont do those also the damage is half compared to hard mode.

Trust me, I really love this game ; it's even the only horror game that actually managed to genuinely scare me in a while !
It's just that it had some problems that made it feel a bit unfair at times. Thanks a lot for fixing those problems.
Also, I didn't know Saiko don't steal keys and turned off power in Easy (probably because she didn't do it that much to me in Normal either) but I guess I did notice I got a little less hurt from her attack in Easy.
