No, it's very clear it's not a native japanese, there are some native japanese dubbers on youtube. The gameplay is very nice with a lot of attention to detail but that voice really needs more work put into it. And if the VA is not a native japanese speaker I feel the voice would be very good in english as well.
THIS GAME IS AMAZING!!!!! SERIOUSLY, AMAZING WORK!!!! I do have a suggestion though. Can you add a weapon to defend yourself with if you manage complete all modes? That would be amazing, giving the girl a taste of her own medicine!
I am still to this date genuinely enjoying the game and it’s progress. It has so much potential and I’ll definitely keep playing around with it as it updates. I tried yandere mode yesterday for the first time. I was not disappointed
You know, when I first downloaded and played this I fully expected to just go through it once, mess around a little and then never play it again. But it's been about a week and I still return to it occasionally. I never really got why, had to think hard and replay the game again and again to figure out.
I got to take back the 'nothing unique' comment from my previous post there. I didn't think making an antagonist that would occasionally become docile towards you would add this much to the experience. Add to that the fact that you can't really expect when she'll be hostile and when she'll be peaceful and you get an opponent that's not too predictable but not too random either. I think you could build on that, but you'll need more focus on Saiko being nice.
I guess it's because the whole concept of her matches my attitude towards the game. Saiko likes to mess around, I like to mess around, so we just mess around together. There is just a sense of aloofness to the whole thing, like neither of us takes the situation seriously.
So with that, here're a few bullet points of things I think this game absolutely needs:
More of Saiko being nice to you (yandere):It's one of the selling points, and absolutely needs more focus to make it stand out. People should strive to get on her good side and in exchange Saiko could provide them with more rewards. Plus needing to go towards the thing you're so scared of is a lot more frightening than constantly running away from it (...I think). eg.: You could make her give the player keys, but the doorknobs might be wired to shock you. Or you could gather items around the school to give her as gifts so she will be less hostile to you.
An options menu: You should put these into your game as soon as possible. Being able to adjust graphics settings, music, volume, etc. from the game is a must.
Sound readjusting: Tied to the previous one. You can't hear Saiko's voice from the sound effects and the music, only her occasional laugh. Tone down the volume on them.
You have something with potential on your hands, don't throw it away now.
Spent a half an hour or so on the old 2.0 free demo to see how broken it is (surprisingly lot less than expected btw), it's exactly what it looks like: running around fleeing from an enemy a la Amnesia but from a literal walking stereotype with a bad case of 'facial animations on 200%' this time. About as cliché as you can make them.
Saiko does have some charming quirks though. Walking around the halls and seeing her (rather jitterishly) creep right behind your back in the moonlit floor for fun, her dragging you to a room and counting to ten or just playing peek-a-boo with her using the pillars was kind of cute. The scare factor was long vaporized already by that point anyway.
It's a nice 'Dev's First Unity Project' but other than that, nothing really interesting or unique here. Letalone scary. Small note, the project URL still says 'satuka', not 'sutoka' you might want to update that.
EDIT: Gave it a few more spins, Saiko has some surprising wits. She can flank you from corridoors, camp outside rooms for an ambush, and stalk you for surprise attacks. She even let me pass once when I found myself cornered. Good job. Took me a few tries but got past her, mostly because she has a tendency to just ignore whatever HP you have and instant-kill you. Not a fan of that.

just put linux version in steam i buy it before Saiko No Sutoka 2.1 linux come and now i cant play it because on steam there only windows ver and proton cant run it
Unfortunately at the moment I cannot buy the game for some reasons, that is why I appreciate being able to play previous versions for free, believe me I will be supporting and when I can I will buy it. :D

I have an issue where the game gets very laggy when Saiko get close to me (every mode and every graphic quality). The closer she gets, the closer the lag is.
Rest of the time the game works perfectly (including in very high graphic ) but as soon as she gets close to me, the game become unplayable due to lag.
I'm using the Steam version of the game, and I've tried deleting and reinstalling the game several time to no avail...
It didn't use to do that a few months before now and idk what happened in between that suddenly made my computer unable to handle Saiko...
Does anyone else have had this problem too ? And if yes, does someone has a fix to it ? It's sad 'cause I really like this game, but I can't play it rn because of this lag problem...
well is true that saiko can lag your game by collision spam or other type of bugs but i didnt heard about getting constant lags by just her getting closer, you tried to verify the files of the game through steam? that could help, if it doesnt works you can try to update your graphic drivers. try to play in other resolutions to see what happens or try to restart your graphic card (like uninstalling and restarting your pc through device administrator) try to check on admin task the performance of the game when she gets closer, maybe you can find the reason why this happens, like high CPU temperatures or high ram usage or graphic card most likely i think that gpu would be the problem, if nothing of this happens then go to Saiko No sutoka Discord server (https://discord.gg/7V3pusP) and go to #bug-and-glitches channel then report the problem in there, because it would be probably a bug of the game that has bad performance with your graphic card or something related to that, also tell about what graphic card you have then maybe habu (lead developer, who codes the game) has a solution for this bug (if it's one)

so a simple critic about when the yandere is stabbing you
1.she hits for random numbers of damage 2.she does alot of damage per time you meet like this 3.id maybe suggest making this a single key push this way to remove high damage output sorta like a hard shove or something 4.maybe make the damage based on a menace meter so the more active she is the more damage she gets starting from 1 to 25

i havnt heard of that one before, but if you join the discord it has a dedicated bug report channel i recommend using. =3
