I like this game - I have it on Steam. But is she really a yandere? There's no NSFW content. How is she not just a normal kidnapper and murderer if there is no lewd content? Yanderes can be kidnappers and murderers, yes. But Yanderes are not just kidnappers and murderers. What actually defines a yandere is the lewdness combined with the aggressiveness. Unfortunately Saiko No Sutoka is lacking in the lewd department.
Rather than lewd, I doubt she even loves Akira, the player character.
I suppose Yanderes can be crazy, violent, hypocritical, and sadistic... I guess I wonder why Saiko is so crazy already.
Basically I missed all the lead-up and now I agree that Yandere doesn't fit as well as "Crazy sadistic murderer" does.
Also, she insta-kills after the safe is opened, so she really doesn't want him to leave the school... But why? Couldn't she just follow him? And is the school ever going to start again? Wouldn't it be better to take him somewhere more private? Maybe she isn't thinking that far.
The guy Akira spoke to.. So far, from the demo I played, the only thing that Saiko didn't like was Akira talking to that guy.
Maybe the explanation is just that she's batshit crazy already, where she has split personality, one is more regular, and the other has glowing eyes and wants to kill the character. The more regular one will repress the mad one, or I guess I can just call that Yangire mode, or mentally ill and angry mode, and the regular mode just Yandere, mentally ill and lovestruck mode.
That just returns me to asking why she's already screwed up, though.
Mmm... It feels like she already gave up on life. Not considering consequences, maybe that's solely focusing on Akira and being crazy. But giving up on keeping Akira alive...
Maybe Akira rejected her catastrophically? But she doesn't really mention that..
So... with the meagre amount of info I have playing the demo...
So Saiko would be already psycho and crazy as hell but barely maintains a normal-ish school life and falls in love at first sight multiplied by a trillion, and then immediately kidnaps him and the last person she saw talking with him, and then the events of the demo 2.01 version plays out.
Or maybe Akira was gay, and Saiko saw a confession between Akira and dead guy #1, and Saiko confronted Akira and maybe also confessed, then Akira rejected her terribly, and then she split her mind to bottle up the insanity, but by the time Akira gets the safe with the exit key open, Saiko's tiny smidge of sanity fades away or is beaten out by anger, and so she just stabs Akira to death, or she simply decided to have Akira dead if she can't have him alive.
Or maybe Akira was bullying Saiko, and so she was returning the favor, or 'love' in sadism in the short events of the game.
...Maybe she's just crazy and had a tiny remnant of sanity left that results in the passive mode at the start of the game. No explanation.
The messages written on the locker and the table are decent reflections of that fading smidge of sanity "I didn't want to do this.." written with the instructions on how to leave.
But why? Why? Why?
... It doesn't really need a reason, I guess. It doesn't need one. But I want one. So I imagined some.
... Putting aside my other reply, I'd say lewdness isn't required, it's love. Saiko definitely lacks in love and care due to being unquestionably insane.
In the game, when she's not stabbing you, she shows admiration, just simply being happy staring at Akira, grinning like an idiot, and when she is hurting the player character, she's being sadistic. She loves 'playing'; torturing the character.
Is she a regular murderer? Nah, not really.
Is she a regular Yandere? Nah, not really.
But I guess, what even is a regular Yandere if they're meant to be irregular of mind?
Conclusion, she's just cray-cray and you gotta deal with it.

Well, I manage to get all the achievements on SnS no shiki (I still can't believe I did it). Fantastic experience Habupain! Thx for this game. Now the only thing I can do right now is to wait for new uptade to original game or maybe this, who knows? Once again thanks Habupain! You've done an amazing job!
i've played this game every so often since release and i've discovered a glitch (even though it probably won't be patched out any time soon with the rate of updates lmao)
if the only keys left in the entire game are the infirmary key and the exit key (both of which are always in set positions) and a game of rock paper scissors is triggered, if you win, saiko's AI completely softlocks and she freezes
this was discovered on normal mode, i don't know if it's consistent with other modes
Does anyone know when will the next update be? and/or if the game is going to have a release at all? I've played everything in the latest version of 2.1.8 on windows and I cant wait for more..
wouldnt hold my breath on anymore updates. last thing i heard was almost 2 years ago. seems to be either abandoned or the dev is being quieter than a corpse on saying ANYTHING on this game. =|
I also hoped for the development of AI, but in the end they left him as he was, forbade him to do a bunch of things, so he became like a stupid dummy, and his only reaction to the player’s unusual way of playing was the idiotically ridiculous “you’ll regret this” and instantaggression in response.Which completely killed all the desire to 'PLAY' with such AI.The author had already given up on the Yandere aesthetics for a long time, but after that he fell into some kind of unhealthy “Necrophilia”, and work on the main part of what was left of the game stopped completely.
If they worked more on the idea of "A yandere chasing you through the school" it would be much better, instead of complitely changing it to a fucking forest.
The whole game's premise was that its in school and 1v1. Even the last most with the other sailor kinda broke the idea, but adding anything else outside of bettering the AI and making more to improve it was a mistake.
I'm late to the party with playing this game but I really enjoyed it! It was super hard tho so I would def look up a tutorial if you start to get lost! I hope the game gets updated soon!
Theres more bug in android ver. When i go outside from the first room it'll be killed instantly, and when i stay in the first room it'll be the same way. You dead....

Loved it! very scary but okay i guess that's the point of the game, so.. i found a bug that is wonderful for me cuz i never winned in this game it's really hard for me even in normal mode. so i tried to hide at first when you appear in the office room in the locker and she found me and obviously she was really angry so i tried to calm her so she won't kill me and i got out of the school and it was like so weird but i liked it at the same time cuz she couldn't go outside with me and couldn't kill me like always she does hehe ✨ i hope it never gets fixed xd

the dev is making a spinoff game for some reason instead of working on the nightmare mode
It's not even that nightmare mode should be the priority.
What I was hoping for is the constant updates in the AI for it to be smarter and more complex, so the gameplay could be even more engaging .
